A catchy and reliable corporate logo that can be applied to merchandise development.
Catamaran Japan is an import agency specializing in Minicat, an inflatable catamaran yacht manufactured in the Czech Republic. Their aim is to introduce the joy of this yacht, created in a landlocked country like the Czech Republic, to Japan, a country surrounded by the sea, and establish it as a new marine sport. Catamaran Japan's goal is to promote yachting as a fun and accessible sport for Japanese people and establish themselves as a marine sports brand.

The client expressed the need for a logo as soon as possible and entrusted me with complete creative freedom for the design. Keeping that in mind, I narrowed down the direction for the logo design and curated a collection of reference designs. Drawing inspiration from these, I crafted the final design concept.

Logo
The color palette for this logo takes inspiration from the serene blue of the sea and sky, as well as the vibrant brightness of the sun. It also incorporates the iconic combination of blue, red, and white found in the Czech national flag. For the font family, I chose "Catamaran," which not only adds a touch of playfulness but also offers simplicity and excellent compatibility when paired with other fonts.

4: Takeaway
4.1 Looking back and moving forward
One of my key achievements was designing a visually appealing logo that effectively captured the essence of the brand. Additionally, I utilized my skills to create icons that enhanced the website's user experience and developed a visually captivating name card design. Through my involvement in this project, I gained valuable experience in logo design, Shopify web development, icon creation, and print design. This project showcased my versatility as a graphic/web designer and my ability to deliver high-quality design solutions across different mediums.
